User Experience Designer (Open)

Leinad Studios is seeking a UX/UI design professional who has a passion for making a difference. Our students have a diverse background, from working professionals to recent college graduates who seek to transition into careers in UX/UI design. Instructors will have a direct hand in changing the lives of our students.
Location: Lagos Island – Onsite.

What You Will Do:
– Design and develop a comprehensive and up-to-date curriculum that covers key aspects of UX design, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
– Bring the learning experience to life by building community and enhancing relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
– Translate complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner for a diverse range of learners or skill levels.
– Provide support and encouragement to students as they go through a life-changing experience
– Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment for our students.
– Increase participant engagement using different facilitation tactics
– Guide large and small groups of learners in an empathetic manner
– Amplify student satisfaction by creating a positive classroom culture
– Communicating timely with students and leveraging effective interventions by sharing resources
– Ensure that homework is graded on-time, and occasionally assist with grading
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree & Relevant industry certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in UX/UI and Product Management
- A positive attitude
- Share your own professional experiences and industry insight with the students
- Be able to infuse empathy, support, encouragement, and fun into the student experience
Proficiency in the following is required:
– User-Centric Design Research: Design Thinking & Double Diamond Process, UX Interviewing & Surveying, Insight Synthesis- Persona Creation, User Journey Mapping, User Flow Creation, Problem Statements, Paper Prototyping & Wireframing, Usability Testing, Case Study Synthesis
– Visual Design and Interaction Design: UI Patterns, Interaction Design, Typography, Heuristics, Usability, & UI Iterations, Continuity & Branding, Accessibility, Figma / Adobe XD, Information Architecture, Card Sorting, Responsive Web Design, Atomic Design
– Industry-standard UX design & Product Management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Figma).
– Product Management skills and tools
Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, Saturdays
9am to 5pm
